HIGHLIGHTS
NOCCHI VILLAGE, the first time the place Nocchi appeared in a document dates back to the year 820 and it was because of its St. Peter Church (rebuilt in the middle of the XIX century).
GOMBITELLI CASTLE AND FORTRESS RUINS, the fortified village was mentioned in the year 1029. The ruins are on the top of the hill (private property).
GOMBITELLI VILLAGE was known for the spike production while today it is famous for the cold cut production. Gombitelli Village has been in the episcopal documents since the X century and after the 1347 plague the hamlet was repopulated by families coming from Villa Minozzo who spread their ancient “gallo-italico” dialect (linguistic area).
